Health Concerns
Heart | 心
Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that the Heart governs the blood vessels and houses the Spirit. Because of this, symptoms of cold extremities, poor circulation, and even anxiety or insomnia can all be treated through the Heart Channel.
Lung | 肺
With every inhale and exhale, the Lungs interact directly with the environment around us. That’s why the Ancient Chinese believed the Lungs establish the basis of our body’s immune system or Wei Qi. Because of their exterior nature, the skin and hair are also related to the health of the Lungs.
Stomach | 胃
The Stomach is paired with the Spleen in Chinese Medicine to rule over the transportation and transformation of food into nutrients. Many occasions of vitamin or mineral deficiency resulting in muscle weakness or fatigue may be related to a weak Stomach and Spleen function.
Liver | 肝
The Liver houses the Blood and governs the smooth flow of Qi throughout the body, physically and emotionally. Stagnation in the Liver may express itself as anger, depression, muscle tightness or cramps, pain in the genitals and breasts, distention in the flanks, and even nausea.
Kidney | 肾
Known as the “root of life,” the Kidneys store the Jing passed down from our parents and help produce the life we pass on to our children. As such, the Kidneys are associated with all sexual and reproductive health as well as growth and development.
Bladder | 胱
The Bladder helps to produce and store urine and is paired with the Kidneys, the other Water Organ. Symptoms of urinary incontinence, burning, UTI’s, blood in the urine, and even bed-wetting may all involve treating both the Kidneys and Bladder.
Intestines | 肠
In Chinese Medicine, the Large Intestine is connected to the Lungs and represents the Metal Element, whereas the Small Intestine is connected to the Heart and Fire Element. Both separate the “pure” from “impure,” absorbing the nutrients and expelling the waste. Disharmony of the Intestines may lead to abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhea.

Eye | 眼
Floaters, poor vision, conjunctivitis, and dry eyes are just a few of the most common, irritating eye ailments. The eyes are most directly influenced by the Liver meridian, but can be a window into the rest of the body as well.
Nose | 鼻
Related to the Lungs, the Nose can be troubled with congestion, excess mucus, dryness, or a full-blown sinus infection. Treating the specific symptoms with herbal medicine can both encourage the body to heal and prevent further problems from developing.
Mouth | 口
The Mouth is like a miniature window to the rest of the body. The teeth are connected to the Kidneys, the tongue to the Heart, and the mouth as a whole is influenced by the Spleen and Stomach. A toothache, bad breath, mouth ulcers, dryness, or bitter taste may reveal a deeper disharmony in the body and can all be helped with herbal medicine.Ear | 耳
Ancient Chinese Doctors noticed that the Ears are shaped like miniature Kidneys on either side of the head and use them as gates to treat the rest of the body. From infections to red ears, poor hearing to tinnitus, TCM offers herbs and ear seeds to encourage health and healing.Sexual | 性
Sexual Health is the part of the body that changes the most drastically over the development of our lives. As such, our reproductive organs are ruled by the Kidneys which govern growth and development. From erectile dysfunction to vaginal dryness, infertility to irregular periods, TCM has wisdom for it all.
